Host of the 1976 Summer Olympic Games, two FINA World Championships, many FINA World Cup championships and series, the IPC Swimming Worlds and home to the national training centre for Canada’s swimming, diving, artistic swimming and water polo teams, Montréal is a leading international aquatic sports destination that has it all.
An island in the St. Lawrence River, Montréal is renowned worldwide for its eventhosting expertise, world-class venues, joie de vivre and hospitality, best-in-class organizers and as a training hub for world-class athletes. Olympic and Paralympic champions such as Jennifer Abel, Meghan Benfeito, Benoit Huot and Alexandre Despatie all got their start in Montréal.

Montréal Olympic Pool
Located in one of the most modern, highperformance multisport centres in North America and home to Canada’s swimming, water polo, diving and artistic swimming teams, the Olympic Center features a FINA Plus-certified competition pool that can be configured for 25- or 50-metre swimming competitions, a training pool with five 50-metre lanes, a three-metre deep artistic swimming and water polo pool, a diving tank with FINA-certified springboards and tower, including the new 20-metre high platform, 4,000 seats as well as a cutting-edge gym and services.

Parc Jean-Drapeau
A world-class outdoor aquatic facility that has one Olympic-size pool, a recreational pool with ten 50-metre lanes and a diving pool that includes springboards and 1-metre, 3-metre, 5-metre, 7.5-metre, 10-metre and 22-metre diving towers. It was host venue of the 2005 FINA World Aquatic Championships, 2014 FINA World Aquatic Masters and the 2013 IPC World Swimming Championships.

Boasting the most pools per capita in the Americas, the City of Montréal manages 48 indoor pools, 74 outdoor pools, 109 wading pools and 117 splash parks where young and old alike can enjoy a refreshing dip.
